Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Zhydachiv municipality is located in the south-eastern part of Lviv region, within Stryi District. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Zhydachiv. The municipality consists of 18 settlements.
The municipality has a favourable geographical location. It is situated approximately 30 km from the district centre, Stryi, and around 65 km from the regional centre, Lviv. The territory of the municipality is located between the Stryi and Dniester rivers, which creates favourable natural conditions for the development of agriculture, recreation and local entrepreneurship.
The economic potential of the municipality is based on a combination of industrial traditions, the agricultural sector, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as existing social and engineering infrastructure. This area has historically been known as one of the centres of Ukraine’s paper industry, while the municipality also has significant agricultural potential due to the presence of rural areas and agricultural land.
For donors and international partners, Zhydachiv municipality is attractive due to its stable location in Lviv region, transport accessibility to Stryi and Lviv, the availability of basic infrastructure, and the need for modernization of social facilities, development of an accessible environment, energy efficiency, support for education, healthcare and municipal infrastructure. The municipality is open to partnerships, recovery projects, local economic development, improvement of public services and implementation of modern energy-efficient solutions.
