Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Tomashivka municipality is located in the western part of Kyiv region, approximately an hour's drive from the capital, and possesses a diverse landscape consisting of 60% agricultural land and 30% forests. Though it has one of the lowest population densities in the region, the local council is a leader in acquiring new governance practices to quickly integrate progressive initiatives like new parks, sports grounds, and a digital educational centre. Agriculture serves as the major driver of the local economy, while the manufacturing sector focuses heavily on oak woodworking, furniture making, detergent production, and the extraction of granite from three active quarries. The municipality's natural resources, which include several wildlife sanctuaries and recreational zones, also create a strong potential for tourism and cultural events.
