Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Kherson is a strategically important de-occupied city in southern Ukraine, located on the right bank of the Dnipro River. Since its liberation in November 2022, it remains under constant threat due to its proximity to active combat zones and continues to experience regular shelling. The city serves as a regional administrative center and is undergoing gradual restoration of essential infrastructure and services. Despite challenges, local communities, educational institutions, and civil society remain active, with ongoing support from international partners and Ukrainian government programs.
