Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Horishni Plavni is situated in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region.
It has a developed production infrastructure, represented by industrial enterprises in the mining and processing industries, light, chemical, metal processing, repair, and service sectors.
The production infrastructure is represented by 32 large industrial enterprises.
The leading type of economic activity in the city of Horishni Plavni is the mining industry, which accounts for about 95.5% of the total volume of sales of industrial products of the city. The main city-forming enterprises belong to the FERREXPO group of companies: PrJSC "Poltava Mining and Processing Plant"; LLC "Yeristiv Mining and Processing Plant"; LLC "Bilaniv Mining and Processing Plant".
The city cooperates with international financial organizations. Projects are being implemented with the involvement of loan and grant funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO), and the Eastern European Partnership Fund for Energy Efficiency and Environment (E5P).
Knitwear production in the city is represented by about 20 enterprises.
The number of officially working entrepreneurs in the small business sector as of January 1, 2024 is about 2,286 people.
