Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
The Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi municipality is located on the banks of the Dniester Estuary, 20 km from the Black Sea coast in the Odesa region.
The city's external logistics are carried out by road, rail and water transport.
The Odessa-Izmail and Odessa-Reni motorways, as well as the Odessa-Izmail railway line, pass through Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
The distance to Odessa by car is 86 km. The nearest airport (Odessa) is 70 km away.
There are over 60 monuments of archaeology, history, architecture, monumental art and urban planning in the city, including 35 monuments of architecture and urban planning, 18 monuments of history, 3 monuments of archaeology and 1 monument of monumental art. The main attractions for tourists are the Bilhorod-Dnistrovska Fortress (14th-18th centuries) and the ancient city of Tyra (a multi-layered settlement from the 4th-6th centuries BC) – national monuments of history and culture.
Before the full-scale invasion, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi was one of the most industrially developed cities in Ukraine. The main and most profitable industries are medical (blood transfusion devices and disposable syringes), food (bread and bakery products), machine building (electronic), plastics manufacturing (children's toys, consumer goods), concrete building materials manufacturing (porous and iron), light industry (manufacture of household footwear).
The municipality is in the process of approving its development strategy until 2028 and is open to cooperation!
